Bolton Food Festival Four To See
It's that time of year again, we are ready for our 4 day event at Bolton Food & Drink Festival. It's a big date in our calendar as the event promises so much fun and importantly food. We love food.
The festival expands across the town centre and we can be found on Victoria Square in the main hub of the event. It's a great opportunity for us to share our scented vegan candles with you, see some familiar faces and meet new friends. It's the ideal opportunity for you to get up close and personal with all our candle scents, "have a sniff" as I am so often caught telling people.
There's something for everyone at the festival, family entertainment, live music and street performers, local street food, artisan items to take home to enjoy of pretty much every food and drink variety, and fellow crafts people.
It's very hard for us to narrow it down to just four for our highlights but here goes...Perk Me Up is run by Heather and her adorable miniature dachshund, Derek. Derek has the cutest curly wurly tail and is pals with Lady. As if a fellow dachshund isn't reason enough to love Perk Me Up then they also do brilliant coffee and they will be ensure we are kept bright eyed and busy tailed all through the festival!
Justicia is a social enterprise operating as a not-for-profit company. They have a treasure trove of a shop in Bolton but will also have a stall at the festival with a variety of fair trade goods such as stationery, chocolate, jewellery and home furnishings so you can have that warm feeling knowing you have shopped local and supported global.
Saskia is one of my fellow Etsy Manchester team mates and will have a stall in the teenage market section of the festival this weekend. She'll be selling her crystal and gemstone jewellery. I just love her rose quartz pieces but theres so much to choose from and each stone has special meanings and properties. It's great to see the teenagers passion for handmade items and to see all the hard work they put into their businesses. Keeping us going for 4 days of festival fun is Milk Maids with their amazing ice creams and sorbets. Need we say more. Go try it for yourself and you'll see what we mean.
